A Blueberry Smoothie Makes For A Nutitious Breakfast !
Posted by admin under Health and Fitness
In a busy household it is seen that typically it is the breakfast that many of us go forward and skip. Everybody’s’s in a rush to get to college and work. Astartling number of US citizens skip breakfast altogether. Acup of coffee and they’re off. Here’s a good way to be sure everybody gets breakfast, one they can carry-out and which is packed with nutrition. A blueberry smoothie is succulent and pretty. If Mom or Dad is troubled with osseous rheumatism or just needs to up the fiber content of their menus, this recipe will do the trick.
Blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, cherries and oranges contain serious amounts of fiber, as well as tons of vitamins An and C, known antioxidants which help ward off cancer. These fruits, especially blueberries and cherries contain antiinflammatory components, which can help relieve swelling with arthritis. So this blueberry smoothie is a good breakfast for every age.
It so occurs that these colours combine well for a lovely reddish violet to lavender smoothie. Use more blueberries to extend the the lavender effect, or more strawberries for a more pinkish hint. You can change the mix as you wish, but use the same total amount of fruit for the right consistency. For a thicker consistency, add more fruit.
Use fresh fruits in season as practical but frozen fruit works too.
Blueberry Smoothie
Cup each of blueberries, strawberries, raspberries and dark red cherries
One huge orange, peeled
1 spoon of grenadine ( adds pleasant flavour )
1 quart of vanilla, strawberry or peach ice cream
( or )
1 quart of plain yogurt, if you like
Mix it all up in the Kenwood and you are done. If you have lidded plastic cups and straws, you can pour each serving and hand them out as they’re walking out the door.
differences on this recipe include replacing two cups of orange, peach or strawberry-banana juice for the ice cream or yogurt. You can also substitute one of the Torani flavoring syrups, in your favourite flavour, for the grenadine. If you’re using as a rheumatoid arthritis remedy, the recipe above is your best shot.
